"But Mommy, my story says that Jacob....." He says this anytime he doesn't like what I am telling him to do. He is convinced that life is his version of his own story.

OCTOBER 2010
"Daddy, I have a hypothesis. We should put the black lego on the roof." While playing legs with Daddy. Thank you Dinosaur Train on PBS!

"What is sin?"

"Why did Jesus have to be nailed to the cross?"

JULY 2010

"Mommy, I'm a doctor. I need to do surgery on you!"

"I will try it mommy but I'm not sure I'm going to like it!"

"I'm just trying to wake you up Caleb"

"I'm a good jobber mommy!" He means to say, I did a good job!

What are you doing Jacob? "I'm hamming Mommy!" He is hammering. It is interesting the way he puts the English language together.

JUNE 2010

"I just LOVE my baby brother!"

Whenever Noah is crying, Jacob says:
"It's okay baby Noah, big brother Jacob is here." OR
"Mommy, Noah needs to eat." OR
"It's okay Baby Noah, Jacob is coming."

MAY 2010

"Mommy, what animal does water come from?"

"Mommy, who made Raja. Did Noah make Raja?"

"Mommy, you are a good mommy!" Why is that Jacob? "Because you love us!"

"Hey Daddy, did you know that Jesus lives in our hearts?"

"I am trying to fall" he says this when he is falling accidentally.

"I don't like catfish. Hmmm....maybe I do like it" It is amazing what they like when they actually try it!

"Mommy, I am so excited for my baby brother!" He says this at least 2 times a day!

"Where is my baby Noah?" when he gets to the hospital, he immediately looks for Noah.

"Mommy, I love my baby brother. I'm so glad you are home from the hospital with him!"

Nativity

We were able to get some beautiful pictures of the boys at our church the day after Christmas! While neither of our boys could ever come close to the baby Jesus....I thought the pictures were quite angelic! Although I'm not sure Jacob and the word angelic can be used in the same sentence?! ;-) On that note....I cut my finger this weekend and had a band aid on it which Jacob was quite fascinated with. So, I proceeded to tell him that it was an ouchie. He decided that it needed a kiss, so every time he saw my bandaged finger, he would say ouchie and kiss it. While Jacob is full of energy and life...he has a very tender heart, especially with his mommy!

Christmas

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning! We had so much fun opening presents with Jacob....although he still didn't understand what was going on, but who could deny new toys! ;-)

Jacob's big presents were a new tricycle from Santa, his own set of cleaning utensils for when he tries to "help" mommy clean, matchbox cars and construction trucks, Elmo from Granny P, Cookie cutters from Nana and Papa, Helicopter and MD Kit from Grandma and Grandpa Sadowski, Elmo phone from mommy and daddy, wooden tractor and bath toys from Uncle Matt and Aunt Sarah...and a few other things as well. Caleb got a few new things as well including clothes from Grandma and Grandpa Sadowski, toys from Granny P and a crib aquarium that makes noise and has lights from mommy and daddy! Whew!!!

Jacob and Santa.....this Santa guy isn't too bad after all!

I would like an Elmo for Christmas!

I took the boys to see Santa this morning and it went much better than expected! I had taken them on Thursday and Jacob refused to even go near Santa without clinging onto me for dear life. Today....much different story. He decided that Santa was his friend and was giving him high fives, hugs and asking Santa for Elmo for Christmas. I will admit, I kind of prompted him for that since he has no idea what he "wants for Christmas".

I weighed Caleb on Tuesday and he was up to 10 pounds, 10 ounces. He is growing up so fast already! Jacob, Caleb and I survived our first week on our own. It was so great having family here and all of the meals that our friends brought for us! We are truly blessed and appreciate everyone's generosity!
